UTeM TVET Ambassador Launch Ceremony

The UTeM TVET Ambassador Launch Ceremony was officiated by YAB Chief Minister of Malacca, Datuk Seri Utama (Dr.) Haji Sulaiman bin Md Ali. The ceremony went smoothly and was also witnessed by YB Dato’ Haji Mohammad Yusof Bin Apdal, Deputy Minister of Higher Education.

This ceremony was held to appoint TVET ambassadors, who are academic and technical staff who act as agents of change to benefit the community through programmes involving UTeM staff and the local community.

The main goal of this programme is to help the community apply knowledge that can be used for well-being and income generation. The list of appointed UTeM TVET Ambassadors is as follows:

  1. Dr. Muhammad Zulfattah bin Zakaria, Project Leader (KP): Community Fertilizer From Straw Waste
  2. Ts. Dr. Nurul Hanim binti ARazak (KP): “Waste to Wealth”
  3. Prof. Associate Professor Dr. Gan Chin Kim (KP) – Solar Installation
  4. Dr. Chang Siang Yee (KP): Green Earth Through Organic Composting
  5. Prof. Associate Dr. Imran bin Mohd Ibrahim (KP): Knowledge Transfer and Installation of Mobile Wireless Routers for Internet Access in Rural Schools
  6. Zurina binti Saaya (KP): Cyber Security and Innovation (IoT) Computer and Network Maintenance
  7. Siti Azirah binti Asmai, UTeM Digital Niaga
  8. Zurul Zarirah binti Nizam (KP): E-Commerce Platform Guidance Program for Rural Community Entrepreneurs

These projects will be implemented in three (3) areas, namely Tanjung Bidara, Pantai Kundor, and Bukit Katil. Also present are YBrs. Prof. Ts. Dr. Massila Kamalrudin, UTeM Vice-Chancellor; YB Puan Tuminah Binti Kadi; Mohd Hasim, Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly, Dun Pantai Kundur; YBhg. Datuk Seri Haji Hasim Bin Hasan Chairman of the UTeM Board of Directors, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, representatives of the Malaysian Technical Universities Network (MTUN), polytechnics, community colleges and vocational colleges, senior university officers, and honorary deans.
